What is cloud computing?

Cloud computing refers to the practice of storing and processing data over the internet using remote servers rather than relying solely on local servers or physical hardware. In contrast, storing and processing data on local servers requires physical equipment and maintenance on-site, which may not offer the same level of accessibility or scalability. Likewise, using physical hardware for data management pertains to traditional computing methods. Backing up data on external hard drives is a form of data storage, but it does not leverage the advantages and features provided by cloud computing, such as remote access and collaboration capabilities.
